Lunedì 18 settembre 2017, ore 15.00 in Aula Magna del Collegio Morgagni il Prof. Jürgen Janek terrà un seminario dal titolo “Energiewende – Energy Storage and the Rise of Electric Vehicles”. 

Dopo la discussione seguirà un incontro del relatore con gli studenti della Scuola Galileiana di Studi Superiori.

L’incontro è aperto al pubblico, fino ad esaurimento dei posti a sedere. 

Abstract 

Driven by the growing demand for renewable energy, there is an increasing need of flexible energy storage on different scales. Along with this development and motivated also by environmental issues, electric vehicles experience an enormous interest. 

In this lecture, our main options for energy storage will be discussed, with a strong focus to modern electrochemical storage. Batteries as the key to electric vehicles will then be considered in more detail, and the most relevant recent research trends will be highlighted.
